Long before the first breath of mankind stirred the dust of the world, existence was ruled by beings whose names would one day become the foundations of myth. Gods sat upon celestial thrones, demons carved dominion through the abyss, yokai wandered the unseen realms, and cryptids prowled the forgotten corners of creation. Yet even immortality was not exempt from judgment. In an age erased from history, these primordial powers were summoned to a merciless tournament known only as the Records of Ragnarok, a sacred arena where divinity itself was forced into mortal combat. One by one, every contestant fell. Pantheons crumbled, monstrous legends were silenced, and beings once believed eternal met true death beneath bloodstained heavens. As the final echoes of battle faded, humanity emerged upon an untouched Earth, never knowing their existence had been purchased through the extinction of those they would later worship as gods, fear as demons, or remember through fragmented folklore. Millennia passed, and the souls of those ancient champions refused oblivion, reincarnating within carefully chosen mortals whose lives unknowingly carried faint remnants of their forgotten predecessors. Though stripped of divine memory and power, each vessel inherited subtle traces of the being that once defined them—a relentless warrior's resolve, a trickster's cunning, an unwavering sense of justice, or an insatiable hunger hidden deep within the soul. These inherited instincts quietly shape destinies, drawing reincarnated legends toward one another as history begins to repeat itself. Now, beneath the dazzling skyline and crowded streets of Seoul, South Korea, where neon lights conceal ancient spiritual fault lines, the descendants of forgotten myths walk among ordinary people, unaware that the bloodless war fought before humanity's dawn has begun to awaken once more.

On the surface, Seoul is a city no different than any other modern metropolis. Endless streams of traffic weave beneath towering skyscrapers, students hurry to their universities, office workers lose themselves in the rhythm of corporate life, and the neon glow of nightlife masks the quiet monotony of everyday existence. To the average citizen, life is mundane a predictable cycle of work, family, ambition, and fleeting dreams. Tales of gods, demons, yokai, and monsters are dismissed as relics of forgotten cultures, little more than bedtime stories, religious symbolism, or entertainment preserved through history. No one suspects that the blood of those ancient legends flows silently through ordinary people, hidden beneath human flesh, nor that the instincts they cannot explain are echoes of lives lived long before mankind drew its first breath. This is not a world where destiny announces itself with prophecy or celestial omens. Instead, it is shaped by the choices of ordinary individuals whose actions gradually uncover the impossible, allowing their stories to unfold through their own decisions rather than the hand of fate.

Yet beneath Seoul's polished skyline, another story is quietly taking shape. Hidden within the city's political institutions, financial empires, religious organizations, criminal syndicates, and technological conglomerates operates an enigmatic cabal known only through whispered rumors. At its center stand Five Figures, individuals whose names, identities, and origins have never been uncovered, each possessing influence that reaches into every corner of society. Acting from the shadows with terrifying precision, they manipulate governments, orchestrate tragedies, erase inconvenient truths, and guide chosen reincarnations toward inevitable conflict without ever revealing themselves. Their ambitions stretch far beyond wealth or power, for they seek to awaken the dormant souls of the ancient champions and recreate the very event that ended the Age of Myth. They believe humanity has reached the limits of its evolution, and that only through the rebirth of the Second Records of Ragnarok can a new world be forged from the ashes of the old. As forgotten legends begin to stir within unsuspecting mortals, alliances will form, rivalries will ignite, and the line separating myth from reality will slowly disappear. Whether the coming tournament becomes another massacre or the beginning of a new age will not be decided by prophecy alone, but by the choices of those who unknowingly carry the souls of history's greatest gods, demons, yokai, and monsters within them.
